I get it, we’re busy! Reading this blog practically counts as me-time, right?! Well, let’s go the extra mile and add in or improve on one of these self-care basics this week. It’ll be fun, I promise!

Self-care, weight loss/maintenance, and healthy living are achieved through a continuous wheel of habits that we do every day – not just something we do until we “reach the top”. Also, that once we “reach the top” or “reach our goal”, if we stop the habits that got us there we can fall into unhealthy habits and out of success.

It might sound easy, but keeping up on our Self-care Practice can sometimes seem darn near impossible! By adding in small habits that we can do every day as part of our routine – without even having to think about it (after a short while) – we are on the track the self-care easy life. Through my rapid weight loss and then the 7 years of yo-yo dieting that followed, I realized that putting the emphasis on good daily habits to continually improve health is the true basis for success. Everyone falls off the wheel at some point or another, but the more we dance in our circle/wheel of healthy habits, the better we feel and the better we are at keeping our lives in line with our highest aspirations.

I love your self care wheel – the balance supports healthy well-being of body, mind and spirit. The only one I see that needs more attention is exercise.
